Water is an issue in Australia, probably more so than any other country on the world. Adcon's products were introduced to the Australian agriculture market in 1998. To date several thousand stations have been installed for soil moisture and climate monitoring.

In order to improve our customer services on all levels, we have decided to open our own office in Australia. This will allow us to provide better technical support, faster delivery times, more presence at tradeshows and better support for our distributors. It will also allow us to open up new markets.

And we think that we have found the best man for the job. Mr. Peter Toome is well known in the trade, with vast experience particularly in the water business, both from an agricultural perspective (working for Netafim and Agrilink), but also from a hydrographical and meteorological perspective (working as marketing manager for MEA). Peter started with Adcon on April 3rd, and has already introduced Adcon's new presence to the market at the Irrigation Association of Australia Conference and Exhibition in Brisbane.
