The second edition of our A733 addWAVE GSM / GPPRS RTU comes with a whole series of improvements. These new features enhance the durability of this device, making it even tougher than before. And consuming much less power it will even last through that long rainy period with little sunshine. So - what's new?
-
Motorola Quad-Band Module ensures worldwide compatibility
-
largely reduced power consumption (in GPRS Mode -50%!)
-
high-capacity NiMH battery made by Panasonic for extreme
temperature conditions (up to +70°C / 158°F)
-
external gaskets on I/O ports and antenna connector for
improved durability
-
Cover screws with hex nuts for increased lifetime and ease of
maintenance, compared to previous Philips heads
-
Elimination of A733CA Boards - same connectors used as in
A733 addWAVE - reduces your spare part stock and eases
serviceability
What makes an ADCON A733 GSM / GPRS RTU so special?
INDEPENDENCE: if you are running a network of several stations get your own A840 Telemetry Gateway - and avoid the monthly service charges for hauling in and storing your data on the service providers machine!
Security: In contrast to most GSM / GPRS RTUs out there the A733 will secure your SIM card with your individual PIN code. Should your SIM card ever get stolen it wont be of much use to the new owner!
Ease of installation: our handy LED tool will tell you exactly how your RTU performs. At the desired site of installation just connect the LED tool and you will see when your RTU
- books on to the GSM network,
- logs into the GPRS service,
- starts communicating successfully with your A840 Gateway
So no surprises when returning back home and finding out that the RTU isn't working!
Compact and robust: Logger, radio and NiMH battery are packed into an extremely compact IP-67 rated aluminum case. Don't worry about wiring it up properly! Just connect your sensors and the solar panel - done!
Versatility: The A733 addWAVE GSM / GPRS RTU operates in all 4 GSM frequency bands (850, 900, 1800 & 1900MHz) and is designed specifically for professional users, who would like to collect a large number of parameters from remote locations, and automatically transmit them to a central base station. Since the device is fully compatible to Adcon's A840 Telemetry Gateway it can easily be integrated into existing radio networks.
Solar powered: Due to its low power consumption the device can operate all year round off a small solar panel. And we mean really small! Our 460mA panel is about the size of two post cards!
If GPRS services are available you should ask your provider for his data plans! Most providers offer for data transmission through the Internet based GPRS network much better rates than by GSM.
